コラージュ、コンクレートを駆使した非常に音楽的な作風!!90年頃に古いレコードやオープンリール、物、捨てられた楽器を使い音制作を開始した米サウンドアーティストSeth Nehil、そしてケージ、ラディーグ、フェラーリから強い影響を語り音源を残し続けるフランスのBruno Duplant、以前ロシアのインディペンデント・レーベルSTELLAGEより共作を発表していたコンビが第二弾をリリース。基本はコンセプチュアル、アブストラクトな表現が多い2者ですが、この作品では抑揚のある音ネタばかりを使いナイトメアなミュージックコンクレートを制作。3編に渡りGRM系にも繋がる硬派な電子音楽で勝負しています。スリーヴデザインはRutger Zuyderveltによるもの。





The sound materials of "the memory of things" appear to emerge from a time that does not exist, or has yet to exist.

It is not the memories themselves that are important, but the way we connect them: we tangle, we weave, we classify by improbable, sometimes unheard intervals. Selvedges are crossed and paths are traced. Our attention is drawn to the noise heard just behind us.

Things' memories are forming a time capsule. We build a memorial and sound structure by piling one layer of the present on top of another.

It is a landscape with immediate depth to which our ears remain attentive.
