1968年カナダのケベックシティ生まれ、大学でギターを学んだ後1​​995年にプリペアドギターに重点を置いた作曲を開始、同年ラジオ番組の制作に協力し始め、そこでエレクトロアコースティックの作曲を行なったChristian Bouchard。ここEmpreintes DIGITALesから既に3作を発表している専属作家であり、本作はタイトル通り4枚目のアルバムとなる最新作。粒子の様なエレクトロニクスで作り上げた疑似的サウンドスケープといった趣の5作を収録、硬質な音で統一している所が非常にクールです。





This new album, the fourth on empreintes DIGITALes, brings together in contrast, three pieces of an abstract nature interspersed with two pieces drawing from soundscapes. These two facets have been an integral part of my artistic journey since the very beginning. The soundscape from which a perceptible musicality emerges and serves as a model, a material to be sculpted to bring it beyond the sound recording. And at the same time, abstraction in order to create new sound universes, devoid of references and therefore without sources of inspiration, while remaining attentive to the material.
