'Lucio Capece (soprano saxophone, bass clarinet, sruti box, double plugged equalizer, ring modulator, sine waves). Recorded at Berlin between 2009 and 2011. Zero Plus Zero can be described as a suite consisting of six structured pieces, where Lucio Capece expresses his huge creativity by exploring the possibilities of his main instruments - soprano saxophone and bass clarinet with preparations - as some others such as struti box and various electronic devices. Lucio Capece keeps on working on his musical obsessions to unveil the richness of his sound material, highlighting what he calls the hidden pitches in the noises and the noises hidden in the combination of pitched sounds and the interconnection between the inside and the outside of the music. After having moved from Argentina, his native country, to Europe in 2002, Lucio Capece established himself in Berlin in 2004. Since then he has been quite active in the improvised and experimental music scene sharing projects with Burkhard Beins, Rhodri Davies, Axel Dorner, Kevin Drumm, Robin Hayward, Mattin, Toshimaru Nakamura, Taku Sugimoto, SLW He is also much appreciated as a contemporary music performer being familiar with works by Phill Niblock, Christian Wolff, Pauline Oliveros and Michael Pisaro. On his last recordings, he can be heard with Mika Vainio (Pansonic), Radu Malfatti, Lee Patterson, Birgit Uhler and Chris Abrahams from The Necks.'
