実に多くのジャズ/即興グループに80年代前半から参加、共同録音盤もかなりの数になっているパーカッショニストのGino Robair。新作はなんと94年のラジオノイズ作と2013年のモジュラーシンセという完全な電子音作。プリミティブ路線を突き詰めた極めてシンプルで気持ちのいい録音です。



During a tour to Fairbanks, Alaska with organist Dave Hatt, I stayed with a ham operator named Chuck, who allowed me to scan through the channels on his radio and record the results. Poking through the lovely radio-wave timbres was someone - we would now call him a troll - happily taunting the other operators. Recorded to cassette 9/25/94. This excerpt is heard as recorded; no overdubs.
