Sound In Silence is happy to announce the addition of SineRider to its roster of artists, presenting his new album Four Years Away.

SineRider is the solo project of Berklee College of Music composer Devin Powers, based in Norwood, Massachusetts. For over a decade, he has been producing his sublime music, ranging from ambient and electronica to shoegaze and post-rock, having released many albums and EPs, either on labels such as Sun Sea Sky, Archives, BFW Recordings and Silk Music, or self-released. He has also recorded instrumental music of a variety of genres like indie, slowcore, lo-fi, dubstep and 8-bit, under many different aliases such as Senseed, Bleepy Bloopy, Hooting Everywhere and Reanu Keeves, while he is also one half of the projects Lakewaves and Introspecter, along with Graham Marlowe and Brian Stegmann, respectively.

Four Years Away, SineRider’s new full-length album and first for Sound In Silence, features twelve new compositions of blissful ambience and calming soundscapes. It’s a captivating collection, carefully created using multiple layers of mesmerizing synths, soothing pads, dreamy piano melodies, loops of delicate chimes, ethereal drones, subtle percussion elements, minimal bass lines and tape loops manipulated with various effects like reverb, delay and wow and flutter.
Beautifully mastered by George Mastrokostas (aka Absent Without Leave), Four Years Away is an emotive album that brings to mind some of the best beatless moments of Boards Of Canada and Helios and might also appeal to all fans of ambient pioneers such as Brian Eno, Harold Budd and Steve Roach.

This is a limited edition of 200 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies. It is packaged in a lovely hand-stamped 127mm x 127mm 285 gsm off-grey cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and an insert sheet containing tracklist and information printed on a 180 gsm dark moss green cardboard. It also comes bundled with a download code coupon and a Sound In Silence card.
