シンプルでありながらも非常に興味深い素人録音の(?)サウンドスケープもの！！BBC関連のライブラリーものやストレンジな発掘音源を90年代半ばから出版し続けて来た英Trunk Records。このレーベルのJonny Trunk氏が個人的に気に入って音盤化に至ったという、Sandra Crossという人物が旅行中に行ったレスターとロンドン間を走る列車内部のフィールドレコーディング作。食事が提供される小さなビュッフェ、アナウンス、他の乗客の会話、常に背後に聞こえる硬質な機械サウンド、様々な音質と距離感にて車内の情景が切り替わり続けます。尚リマスターはせずに敢えてそのままのテクスチャーで収録しているとの事。

The MMs Bar (pronounced "Ems Bar") was a little buffet that used to live on Coach F on the Midland Mainline trains running between Leicester and London. During each trip the staff of MMs Bar would announce that it was or wasn't open for business - this is a recording of those announcements.

Originally recorded by Sandra Cross in 2006 and 2007.
