ヴァレーゼ出身のイタリアの電子音楽家Alessandro De Lucchiが1978年に自主出版した唯一LP。EMS-VCS3とARP2600 & Odysseyというシンプルなシステムで作られた11曲からなるアブストラクトなリズム音源集で、ひたすらに音色とパターンの変化が続く変則的な動きが特徴。電子音楽マニア、ミニマルミュージック好きは勿論の事、DJにも使える非常に汎用性のある面白いビート。大推薦。



Replica edition of this baffling 1978 one-off by the otherwise unknown Alessandro De Lucchi, offering 11 takes of EMS VCS3 & ARP 2600/Odyssey filigree mapped to largely rhythmic & highly abstract lanes. This is a known quantity amongst the proto-techno elite & is occasionally whispered about in hushed tones as a secret DJ tool, but I’m hearing it more as an absurdly prescient continuation of the kinds of rhythmic noise Amedeo Tommasi was up to as “Di Jarrel” into the whole Esplendor Geometrico scene, with nary a kick drum in sight. Great Avant-Lightning-Bolt typography; as cryptic and inviting as it comes.
