英ロイヤル・アルバート記念博物館が出版した最高峰のフィールド・レコーディストChris Watsonのソロ音源！！英エクスペリメンタル界の重要グループ、キャバレー・ヴォルテールとハフラー・トリオの創設メンバーとして知られ、博物学を専門とする音収集家、BBCやその他プロジェクトにて数多くのテレビやラジオのドキュメンタリーにも取り組ん出来た重鎮Chris Watson。イングランド南西部の地域デボンの海岸及び田園地帯にレコーディングシステムを設置、2015年から2016年に掛けて移り変わる4つの季節のサウンドスケープを捉えた生態系音源集。海岸、農地、表土と砂の荒地ヒース、森、それぞれ各15分の録音となっており、やはり流石としか言い様の無いポイントの音風景を聴かせてくれます。

In 2015 to 2016 Chris Watson installed sounds from Devon’s coast and countryside into the heart of RAMM (Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery, Exeter)

Four seasonal recordings from a variety of locations create a changing soundscape evocative of Devon’s diverse ecosystems.
Each 15minute episode includes recordings from four habitat types chosen for their local and national importance as well as their sonic diversity: Coast, farmland, pebblebed heathland and western oak woodland.

The volume matches the ambient levels found in nature.
